THE MISTERY OF INDONESIAN PRESIDENCY

So far there were four Indonesian presidents who were forced to retire before their administration ends. Many people said that those relate to the Indonesia Five Basic Principles known the Pancasila. Pancasila is the Five Basic Principles of the Indonesian as the Foundation of Indonesia:
Pancasila says:
1. The belief in one God Almighty
2. Humanity that is just and civilized.
3. The unity of Indonesia
4. Democracy guided by wisdom of representative deliberation
5. Social justice for all Indonesians.

Let's try to analyze one by one.

President Soekarno
During Soekarno’s Old Era there were two different big powers, the religion power and the communism. The religion power was exactly the opposite from the communist power. President Soekarno had violated the first principle of Pancasila which says Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa or The belief in one God Almighty).

President Soeharto
In the Soeharto New Era, the economic growth was increasing into the top level. Development was not evenly distributed into the rural and isolated area. So many human right was violated by this administration. So many kidnapping happened and only some Indonesians who could have such wealth fare. Based on this, president Soeharto had violated the second principle of Pancasila which says Humanity that is just and civilized. He was retired from his position on May 21st 1998.

President Baharudin Jusuf Habibie
In the president Habibie reformation era, Indonesia lost one of its provinces which used to be called, the East Timor. Habibie held a referendum, resulting its separation from Indonesia. The voting was held on August 30th 1999. Finally, majority of East Timor people agreed to become a free nation. So that is why we think that president Habibie had violated the third principle of Pancasila which says The Unity of Indonesia. He was retired from the presidency seat on October 20th 1999 after he held the first democratic general election in Indonesia.

President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur)
In the president Wahid Era, he usually said something that is considered a little bit provocative. He ever tried to disperse the parliament or House of the Representative by a decree. But he failed. The parliament took one big action first and he was fired as a president in the mid of 2001. President Wahid had violated the fourth principle of Pancasila which says Democracy guided by the wisdom of representative deliberation.
Wanna be the next president who will be overthrown by the Indonesians? Just violate the fifth principle of Pancasila and you will be an ordinary people.
